Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority Principal Information Communication Technology Officer Jobs in Kenya

An officer at this level will head the Information Systems Division overseeing ICT functions within the KNRA. The Officer will be responsible to Director, Corporate Services.

For appointment to this Grade, an officer must have:

A minimum period of eight (8) years relevant work experience, three (3) years of which must have been in a supervisory role;

Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: Information Technology, Computer Science, Business IT, Software Engineering, ICT Project Management, Computer Engineering or any other relevant and equivalent from a recognized Institution;

Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Information Technology, Computer Science, Business IT, Software Engineering, ICT Project Management, Computer Engineering or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;

A minimum of any two (2) certifications from relevant professional bodies in either CCNP, CDCP, CCNA Cloud, CCNA Industrial/IoT, CCNA, MCSE, MCSA, MCSD, N+, A+ OCA, CISSP, Linux+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), CISA, CISM, CGEIT or any other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;

CISA Membership or an equivalent ICT professional body;

Certificate in Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution; and

Fulfilled the

requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.

Duties and responsibilities

Installing and maintaining computer systems;

Analyzing, designing, coding, testing and implementing computer programs;

Configuring Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN);

Providing user support;

Configuring Local Area Network and Wide Area Network;

Developing and updating application systems;

Carrying out systems analysis, design and programs specifications in liaison with users;

Drawing up hardware specifications for Information Communication Technology equipment;

User and Systems Support and Logging of incidents;

Verifying, validating and certifying Information Communication Technology equipment;

Ensuring effective working of systems for efficient service delivery;

Configuring new Information Communication Technology equipment; and

Implementing systems and network security.
