Kenya Medical Research - KEMRI Study Coordinator – Kajiado Jobs
Key Responsibilities: Work closely with study investigators to plan and deliver the research work.
Prepare study materials including training materials and standard operating procedures.
Prepare work plans aligned to project deliverables.
Co-ordinate and oversee data collection and management including data quality checks, storage and archiving.
Supervise research assistants attached to the Project.
Co-ordinate adherence to funder’s technical and financial requirements.
Ensure compliance with policies on ethical conduct of research and human subjects protections.
Carry out any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
Vacancy Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Biomedical Sciences, Applied Sciences, Public Health, any relevant Social Science, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution. Mandatory
Master’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Biomedical Sciences, Applied Sciences, Public Health, any relevant Social Science, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution. Mandatory
At least four (4) years of relevant hands-on experience working in field-based studies. Mandatory
Competent use of MS Office applications. Experience in electronic data collection and management is an added advantage. Added Advantage
Fluency in English, Kiswahili, required. Maasai Language is an
added advantage. Added Advantage
Experience in participatory research methods is an added advantage. Added Advantage
Prior experience in a similar post is an added advantage. Added Advantage
Ability and willingness to work anywhere in Kajiado County. Mandatory
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Mandatory
Strong organization skills, ability to effectively troubleshoot and respond to a dynamic work environment. Mandatory
Independent judgment and resourcefulness, understanding of the local social and geographical landscape as well as the community. Mandatory
Detail-oriented with good reporting skills. Mandatory
