IntroductionKenya Institute of Management (KIM) was established in 1954 as a premier institute that provides management consultancy and capacity building services to corporate organizations and other institutions. The institute has embarked on an aggressive expansion and growth programme in line with its strategic plan 2017-2020. To deliver this mandate KIM has recently concluded a re-organization and seeks to fill the position of Head of Shared Services
Responsibilities
Oversee leadership, development , review and implementation of the Institute policies, procedures and practices that support attainment of efficiency and effectiveness of back office operations;
Oversee development and maintenance of an effective Human Resources Information System to ensure availability of the right data for decision making;
Provide oversight to the activities of procurement staff, and oversee the procurement process to ensure conformity to existing legal frameworks.
Lead the implementation of the ICT strategy initiatives and oversee operations and system maintenance.
Oversee development, review and implement the Institute policies, procedures and practices that ensure security of KIM staff and safe custody of the KIM’s fixed assets/property.
Lead in development and implementation of standard level agreement (SLA) and turnaround time policies in collaboration with heads of functions.
Formulate and develop the shared service master plan on processes to improve efficiency of activities across KIM.
Oversee implementation of automation of shared services function back office function.
Oversee the development of the institute performance management policy including the setting of departmental objectives, monitoring and the annual performance appraisal to ensure that staff achieve set targets and dedicated calls.
Secretary to the Human Resource Committee of the council, responsible for taking minutes during meeting and also updating the committee on the progress on achievement of the strategic plan.
Qualifications
At least eight years’ experience in a large organization with at least three years as Head of Function in an active commercial environment.
A Master’s degree in relevant field from a recognized institution.

Kenya Institute of Management Learning and Admission Manager Vacancies
Responsibilities
Coordinate the process of student’s admission in all regions and branches.
Ensure proper scheduling of classes/timetable in liaison with Regional Learning and Admissions Officer.
Compile, maintain and constantly review database for all lecturers and students across the branches.
Assist in development and review of policies that regulate learning and admissions.
Collaborate with Regional Branch Managers in following up on execution of the academic calendar.
Consolidate monthly progress reports from all regions and compile quarterly reports for management meetings.
Provide oversight on branches compliance with learning and admissions policies.
Actively participate in marketing activities for KIMSOM products to create awareness in order to increase student numbers.
Provide leadership in ensuring quality learning for Diploma and Certification courses in all KIM branches through monitoring student and lecturer attendance, students’ feedback, and Regional/Branch academic performance.
Support the Manager Examination in planning and execution of examination and graduation activities.
Qualifications
At least five years’ experience in a large organization in an active commercial environment.
A Master’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Responsibilities
Coordinate all the examination activities and examine probable risks to ensure quality and integrity in the examination process in line with KIM’s standards.
Control access to the examination system to avoid interfering with examination data.
Manage security of the examinations before, during and after printing, packaging, storage and transportation to ensure integrity of examination process.
Develop and implement disciplinary procedures that guide exam malpractices.
Facilitate the recruitment and training of examiners to ensure conformity to KIM setting and moderating standards.
Lead the audit of the examination system to identify exposure and risks to mitigate and build back up for control measures.
Verify of academic documents (transcripts and certificates) to ensure the documents presented are authentic.
Lead timetabling of the final examinations for planning of venue allocation and guiding students on the examination dates.
Receive and check examination for printing to ensure moderation in line with the syllabus and ensure confidentiality in the process.
Qualifications
At least five years’ experience in a large organization in an active commercial environment.

Responsibilities
Responsible for overall management of OPI Business Excellence Model and Company of the Year Awards (COYA) and SME of the Year Awards in promoting business excellence.
Recruit and supervise OPI assessors/consultants to ensure value is delivered to organizations participating in OPI/COYA.
Identify and forge strategic partnerships to support SMEs in implementation of business excellence.
Partner with OPI Technical Committee to ensure good governance of the OPI process.
Market and recruit organizations to participate in the OPI business excellence model.
Actively source sponsorship from organizations as per the projected income to fund the activities of the COYA program.
Draw and implement an annual budget for the awards and monitor proper usage of the resources.
Plan and execute OPI champions training for participating organizations.
Guide organizations in self- assessment to ensure successful completion of the OPI process.
Organize and follow through on OPI feedback report presentation to participating companies.
Facilitate implementation of Technical Assistance and Advisory Services interventions given to OPI companies from KIM and partners.
Design and execute plans that support the broader OPI marketing strategy.
Manage the OPI brand in the region and ensuring it lives up to its promise with top of the mind awareness.
Offer transformational leadership to OPI Secretariat to ensure that the departmental goals are delivered in line with the Institute’s strategic objectives.
Qualifications
At least five years’ experience in a large organization in an active commercial environment.
