Kenya High Commission in London Pool Drivers - for Mission Utility Vehicles Jobs
The Pool Section Drivers shall under the direction and control of the Transport Officer in coordination with the Head of Chancery perform the following duties and responsibilities:- • Serve as driver for general movement of staff to various official meetings.
• Pick Government of Kenya delegation from the airport, to the hotels and meeting venues.
• Facilitate the movement of Government of Kenya delegation within the United Kingdom as may be assigned by the Transport Officer.
• Ensure the Education vehicles are maintained to the acceptable UK standards to include timely servicing, MOT amongst others,
• Timely report any vehicle defects to the education attache
• Ensure the vehicle work tickets are duly authorised and completed.
• Management and ensure safe custody of the Extra keys for education Section Vehicles.
• Management and ensure safe custody of the education section Fuel Cards in close liaison with the education Adviser.
• Ensure that the pool vehicles clean.
• Facilitate and transport officers school going children.
• Perform any other duties as directed by the Head of Mission or any responsible officer.
Qualification/Requirements• KCSE C- certificate/ Equivalent GCSE certification
• Valid clean Driving license category B
• Recommendation for exemplary work performance
• Two (2) years driving experience in the UK.
• Versatility and basic knowledge
of ICT is an added advantage
The positions are for a duration of twenty three (23) months, and the successful applicants will be subject to Kenya High Commission Terms and Conditions of Service, as well as applicable UK laws and regulations.
