Adult Education Instructor - Hundred (100) Posts - V/no. 29 /2019

Three (3) years contract (Renewable subject to satisfactory performance)

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  • Bachelor of Education/Adult Education degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
    Or
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree from a university recognized in Kenya plus a Diploma
    in Education from a recognized institution.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    This is the entry grade for Adult Education instructors. Specific duties and responsibilities
    include:

  • Initiating and organizing Adult and Continuing Education centres;
  • Analyzing learners’ needs;
  • Preparing schemes of work and lesson plans;
  • Preparing teaching/learning aids;
  • Teaching and evaluating learners’ progress;
  • Maintaining class records initiating and guiding operations of class committees;
  • Organizing programmes for out of school youth and adults; and
  • Participating in the production of teaching/learning materials and preparing
    learners for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KSCE) national examination
    or its equivalent.
