Job Purpose

The Senior Portfolio Officer will be responsible for undertaking analysis of mature investments and advice on viability of retaining such investments and the management of historical non-performing loans portfolio.

Job Specifications

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail;

Initiating and implementing strategies for the effective portfolio management;

Undertaking collections of outstanding accounts receivable from historical nonperforming loans;

Monitor, and evaluate performance of mature investments; and the debt portfolio

Advising on KDC’s exit strategy for mature investments;

Advising on KDC’s servicing of debt;

Implementation of repayment proposals and loan rescheduling;

Undertaking portfolio risk analysis;

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: -

At least four (4) years’ relevant work experience

Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce, Business, Economics, Engineering or any other relevant field from a recognized institution in Kenya;

Knowledge and experience in data collection, analysis and presentation;

Excellent financial modeling skills;

Excellent business acumen;

Good interpersonal, and communication skills;

Team player;

Proficiency in Computer Applications

Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance; and

Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya
