The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) is a statutory organization of the Government of Kenya established by the Standards Act, Cap 496 of the Laws of Kenya in July 1974.

The mandate of KEBS is to provide standardization, metrology and conformity assessment services through promotion of standardization in commerce and industry, provision of testing and calibration facilities,

control of the use of standardization marks, undertaking educational work in standardization, facilitation of the implementation and practical application of standards, maintenance and dissemination of the International System of Units (SI) of measurements.

KEBS is seeking to recruit persons of integrity, who observe confidentiality, critical thinkers, analytical, team players, good decision makers, negotiators who are innovative and have the ability to communicate well to fill the following positions:

JOB ROLE
i.Providing strategic leadership on compliance level of locally and imported products in the Kenyan market;
ii.Liaising with stakeholders in the fight against substandard products;
iii.Providing technical advice to industry on effective implementation of standards in order to facilitate improvement of quality of goods and services;
iv.Ensuring adequate internal controls and compliance with the applicable laws, policies and procedures on product conformity;
v.Leading change management processes across all areas of responsibility as required through planning, leading and implementation of change to ensure support functions provide an efficient and cost effective services for the organization;
vi.Handling consumer complaints and appeals to enhance customer satisfaction levels;
vii.Protecting the health and safety of consumers and the public in general.
