Job Title

Fuel Procurement Manager

A summary of the role of the position

The Fuel Manager procurement
role reports to the Head of Supply Chain, and is responsible for managing all Strategic, Operational and Administrative aspects of Jet fuel for KQ, GSE and General Maintenance, including but not limited to:

Jet fuel planning, budgeting and forecasting;

Sourcing and ensuring security of supply;

Provision of fuel management reporting;

Managing fuel related risks including KQ compliance with IATA and IFQP quality and safety standards;

Meeting ETS and tax legislation requirements; and

Optimization of fuel efficiencies to minimize airline fuel bill and environmental impact

Strategic sourcing of GSE ensuring the same are in good working condition by procuring parts in time to guarantee serviceability;

Optimization of General maintenance to ensure that KQ gets value for money.

Qualifications

Degree in Business related field

Graduate diploma in Procurement

Membership in KISM or CIPS

Years’ Experience and Skills:

8 years in Procurement or outstation Finance and or Financial reporting 3 of which must be on Management

Must have demonstrated an ability to work with senior management levels

Experience in Airline Operational / Technical activities highly advantageous
