Brief Description

The candidate will be responsible for the safe driving and care of KQ vehicles and property. He/she will always comply with the traffic regulations and the Organizations’ policies and regulations on vehicle Management as well as the Kenya Traffic Act CAP 403, Laws of Kenya.

Detailed Description

Principal Accountabilities (Responsibility)

Perform daily, weekly, monthly transport duties.
Logistics - Deliveries of aircraft materials between stores, workshops, production areas, and collecting technical materials from suppliers (Clinic, KEBs) and other pickups and deliveries as assigned.

Drive KQ vehicles, and or equipment as shall be assigned by the Supervisor in a safe and economical manner in conjunction with the regulations in place.

The Logistic Assistant is responsible for the routine check-up of the vehicles, routine check-up to include but not limited to oil, brake function, water, lights & tire condition, windshield wipers, etc.

Confirm availability of vehicle tools and equipment’s before, during and after work.

The Logistic Assistant shall always maintain assigned vehicles clean and in good condition, properly for the convenience of the Organizations’ operations.

The Logistic Assistant shall always stop the engine and electric power of assigned vehicles to save consumption of fuels and the general vehicle engine performance.

He/she shall ensure compliance with the given directives.

The Logistic Assistant shall handover the assigned vehicles

by doing a comprehensive handover report at end of shift.

Produce weekly records of deliveries and collection made

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements;

Qualification (Minimum)

Minimum of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education and Valid Driving license class BCE.

Valid Certificate of good conduct.

You are knowledgeable of the relevant laws and Traffic Act

All required training by KAA is an added advantage.

5 years relevant work experience.

You have experience in logistics.

Other Skills

You have good communication, writing & interpersonal skills

You can effectively use Microsoft office packages.

You are willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Willing and able to work in a team environment.
Integrity

Teamwork/team player.

Personal Accountability & Commitment to achieve.

Ability to work with minimum supervision.
