Job Purpose

The purpose of this job is to assist in providing legal advisory services to the Authority thereby creating a conducive legal environment for execution of the Authority's mandate as stipulated in the Kenya Roads

Job Description

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

eviewing and retrieving files for relevant action;

Opening legal files;

Photocopying file documents; .and

Filing contract and court documents.

Reviewing and retrieving files for relevant action;

Opening legal files;

Filing contract and court documents;

Responding to inquiries regarding specific cases;

Facilitating payment of legal fees;

Serving legal documents to clients and other stakeholders;

Collaborating with the Senior Legal Assistant, monitoring all security documentation — Term and Expiry; and

Obtaining the Kenya Gazette weekly and perusing, preparing and submitting reports on any matter touching on the Authority;

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

Diploma in Paralegal studies or Administration (with bias in legal matters) from a recognized institution;

A current Process Server Certificate or its equivalent qualifications;

Proficiency in computer applications and

Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
