KenGen Engineer/ Scientist - Reservoir Jobs in Kenya






a. Duties and responsibilities

  • Planning, coordinating and supervising reservoir management programs
    Preparing and implementing well monitoring programmes for production fields including generating reports indicating well behaviour and output.

  • Processing field data, analysing, interpreting and generating reports including conceptual model reports.

  • Prepare the budget estimates required to carry out reservoir management operations.

  • Be responsible for the tools, equipment, instruments and vehicles.

  • Manage a team of staff that will be carrying out well monitoring Ensuring well monitoring instruments and gauges are within calibration.

  • Procuring tools and equipment for the section which includes preparation of tender documents and evaluation.

  • Preparing the section’s annual budget.

  • Preparing the monthly report for the section.

  • Controlling overtime within the section.

  • Implementing EMS and QMS procedures within the section.

  • Identifying training needs for technicians, craftsmen and artisans based on personal development plans (PDP)

    b. Person Specifications

  • Must be a holder of an undergraduate degree in BSc. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or BSc in Physics.

  • Post Graduate diploma in Reservoir Physics will be an advantage.

  • Minimum 1 year experience as Reservoir Scientist

  • Membership with relevant professional organizations will be an advantage

  • IT literate including knowledge on Microsoft Project, GDman, PETREL, grapher and surfer plotting softwares.
