Job Purpose Reporting to the Director, Health Products & Technologies, the successful candidate will be responsible for the receiving and storage, picking, packing and delivery of customer orders for HPTs.
Scope of Work /Duties /ResponsibilitiesPromoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement in the department
Creating a team environment that supports transparent communication and ownership of responsibility.
Providing guidance and support while empowering the team to be innovative using their expertise and knowledge to make decisions.
Setting performance targets and monitor performance for all staff in the department
Providing career development, coaching, training and skill building for all staff in the HPT Planning & Market Research to meet both organizational and personal development goals
Ensuring the HPT supply chain processes are supporting sound financial practices and operational efficiencies.
Developing the logistics budget with regular monitoring of actual expenditure against forecast and identifying opportunities for
improvement.
Planning, directing and coordinating all activities of the warehouse;
Coordinate warehousing at central stores and comply with Good Distribution Practices (GDP);
Optimizing warehouse processes including receipt, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch schedules to meet customer requirements;
Instituting mechanisms to guard against stock losses through expiries and damages;
Undertaking continuous monitoring and evaluation of warehousing key performance indicators.

Providing career development, coaching, training and skill building for all staff in the warehouse division to meet both organizational and personal development goals; and
Monitoring and evaluating key performance indicators in receiving, storage and order fulfilment to ensure that customer/stakeholder requirements and supply chain metrics are met.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in the following fields: Business, Commerce, Health Care Management, Health Economics, Master’s Degree in the following fields; Business, Health Economics, Supply Chain Management;
Membership to a professional body where applicable;
Mangement course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
Proficiency in computer applications;
Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results; and
Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
Experience
A minimum period of ten (10) years in relevant work experience and at least three (3) years in a Supervisory position in the Public Service or Private Sector;

Have a solid understanding of the financials and the impact that supply chain

Exceptional communication skills with strong interpersonal and ability to influence others and gain consensus
Strong Data Analytical
Skills
Analytical thinking with the ability to provide structure and systematic thinking to address business and customer needs.
Ability to multitask and pivoting quickly between strategic work and being tactical, hands-on.
Sense of urgency.
Ability to Work Well on a Team but Be Self-Motivated and Independent at Times
Demonstrates a high degree of integrity combined with strong leadership abilities.
Strong attention to detail; high standards for quality; and excellent time management.
