KEMRI through the CENTRE FOR GLOBAL HEALTH RESEARCH (CGHR) KISUMU with the support
of the Global Health EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking is conducting a project entitled - Linking Infectious disease Front-liners’ control Efforts with central public health authorities in The African Great Lakes Region (GREATLIFE) project aimed at providing front-line disease diagnostic data using genomics. The project seeks to recruit Research Interns as detailed below:

Vacancies: Three (3)

Location: Nairobi and Kisumu

Reports to: Project investigators

Required Qualifications

• Be in possession of BSc. Biochemistry/Microbiology / Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Genomics or any related biological science course from a recognized institution.

• Be Familiar with conducting extensive literature reviews

• Conversant with basic microbial culture techniques and epidemiology

• Be Familiar with whole genome sequence technologies and applications
