Key Responsibilities:

  • Participant Recruitment and Screening: Support the recruitment and retention of participants.

  • Initial Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct initial assessment and evaluation of participants' mental health status using standardized tools and protocols.

  • Care Coordination: In liaison with the psychiatric nurse, participate in multidisciplinary case reviews for patients not responding to interventions.

  • Behavioural Interventions: Monitor the delivery of behavioral interventions to participants by mentor mothers according to the study protocol.

  • Monitoring and Follow-up: Monitor participants' progress throughout the study, tracking changes in their mental health symptoms and any adverse events, and conduct follow-up assessments at scheduled intervals to gather longitudinal data

  • Data Collection and Reporting: Accurately collect and document data into the DSEHR and utilize this data to prioritize participant care.

  • Adherence to Ethical Standards: Interact with participants’ in accordance with ethical standards and guidelines for research involving human subjects. This includes safeguarding participants' confidentiality, respecting their autonomy, and protecting their well-being.

  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other members of the research team, including principal investigators, clinicians, data analysts, and administrative staff. They contribute their expertise in behavioral health to inform study design, interpretation of findings, and overall study management.

  • Participant Support and Advocacy: Provide health education
    on PMTCT, stigma, IPV, and CMD self-care to participants.

    Vacancy Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology or a related field from a recognized institution.

  • Registered with relevant professional body.

  • Proficiency in data entry and management.

  • Training in behavioral health management is an added advantage.

  • Empathetic and compassionate approach to patient care.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy.

  • Cultural competence and sensitivity to diverse patient populations.

  • Problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.

  • Experience working with electronic health records systems is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices in behavioral health management.

  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic and evolving healthcare environment.
