KCB Group Shared Services Director Jobs in Nairobi, Kenya


The Position:

Reporting to the Group Chief Operating Officer, this position is responsible for the efficient and effective management of shared services in a manner that enables and drives business and customer propositions for entities of KCB Group.

This position champions service delivery excellence and improvement whilst mitigating risk, ensuring business continuity and sustaining robust transactional governance and oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the guidance of the Group Chief Operating Officer, develop a Shared Service strategy and execution plans.
  • Manage shared service functions, networks and infrastructure to effectively and efficiently drive business for entities of KCB Group.
  • Manage and oversee shared services costs and expenditure within approved budgets and mandates.
  • Deliver shared services projects and initiatives within approved scopes, plans and budgets.
  • Oversee the effective management of shared service systems.
  • Champion and oversee service excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the secure and efficient transit and transfer of business and customer assets.
  • Manage, review and update shared services risk, controls, governance and compliance in line with policy, procedures and relevant statutes.
  • Manage and oversee shared services transactions in line with TAT, governance and reconciliation requirement of regulatory and KCB policy.
  • Managing relationships with business units, branches, subsidiaries of KCB Group Plc, service providers, regulatory authorities and stakeholders.

    Job Requirements:

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

  • University Degree in Business related field.
  • Relevant Professional qualifications in Business, Quality Management and Service excellence related fields are preferred.
  • 10 years’ relevant Shared Services experience in Financial services with at least 8 years’ experience in Senior management positions is required.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of the Industry, latest market trends as well as challenges.
  • Proficiency in service excellence and project management.
  • Sound understanding of statutes and regulatory requirements related to Financial services
    Knowledge of Applied Risk management, Business Continuity and Business Recovery.
  • Sound networking and interpersonal skills with proven people, leadership, communication and negotiation skills, proactive and customer-focused.
