KCB Bank Information Technology Department - Assistant Manager, IT User Support Jobs in South Sudan



Responsibilities

  • Supplement first line diagnosis of system incidents\failures reported via available channels and escalating them to the required departments.

  • Install and configure operating systems and applications to agreed standards.

  • Maintain the existing PCs and peripherals to standards determined by the Head of IT, by performing upgrades, new installations and carrying out routine procedures.

  • Assess end-user needs and develop technical solutions on issues related to operability, system access and efficiency.

  • Document application outages and resolutions for future reference.

  • Manage the helpdesk and coordinate with the other teams for resolution of reported IT issues.

  • Provide support to IT users for all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based software.

  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.

  • Coordinate and execute application-level testing, including performance tests, and make any environment changes necessary to perform the tests.

  • Configuration, monitoring, upgrades, deployment, troubleshooting, and overall support for enterprise applications, custom web-based applications, and off-the shelf applications

    Requirements

  • University degree from a recognized institution preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

  • Professional certification: CompTIA A+;
    Microsoft certification; MCDST / MOUS / MCP / MCSE / MCSA / MCITP/ MCTS

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT support.

  • Experience in Banking systems will be an added advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve issues through a pragmatic and commercially sound approach.

  • Superior verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • Ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization.

  • Demonstrated creativity and analytical ability.

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with a diverse group.
