Brief Description The role holder will perform required duties under KCB foundation.
The primary role will be to support the small businesses in bookkeeping, accounting, financial and tax management
Detailed Description
Teaching the businesses in the program on the importance of book keeping and accounting
Supporting the businesses in the program in having physical books of accounts such as cash books, petty cash vouchers, payment vouchers, receipt books, invoice books
Supporting the businesses in the program in the daily use of the books of accounts
Supporting the businesses in the program in the creation of simple Financial Reports such as Profit and Loss Accounts, Sales reports, Debtors reports, Stock reports
Supporting the businesses in the practice of assets and inventory management
Supporting the businesses in the program in effective and routine budgeting for their enterprise
Supporting the businesses in the program in the practice of costing of products.
Supporting the business in the program in managing their business expenses
Training the businesses in the program in separation of personal expenses and business expenses
Supporting the
business in the program in credit and debt management
Supporting the business in the program in development of financial strategies, through helping them understand cash flows, profitability and break-even points
Helping the businesses in the program understand the modalities of sourcing for business finance
Training the business in the program on the benefits and importance of tax compliance
Supporting the business in the program in tax registration
Supporting the business in the program in tax compliance, through support in filling of different tax returns
Training the businesses in the program on the importance of banking
Training the businesses in the program on how bank credit scoring works and how they too can access credit
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business/ Accounting
Professional Accounting Qualifications are an added advantage
At least 1 - 2 experience in accountancy, business development and handling business tax matters
Good command of spoken and written English and Kinyarwanda
Self-driven individual who works efficiently under minimum supervision
Ability to facilitate learning in others
