Kampala Capital City Authority Deputy Director Social Services Jobs in Uganda

Minimum Qualification

Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in either Tourism; or Library and Information Science; or Social Work and Social Administration; or Social Sciences; or any other related field plus a Master’s Degree in either Education; or Social Work and Social Administration; or Social Sciences; or any other related field from a recognized University / Institution.

Working Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years working experience, three (3) of which should have been gained at Assistant Commissioner or Head of Department level in Government or from a reputable organization.

Duties

The incumbent will be responsible to the Director Education and Social Services for performing the following duties:-

Developing and implementing policies and procedures for implementation of social service programs within the city as per the KCCA guidelines and objectives

Developing and monitoring the implementation of approved social services programs within the City as per the KCCA objectives

Coordinating and monitoring the management of public libraries within the city and ensure they are adequately stocked with

relevant information for the community as per KCCA objectives

Coordinating the development and monitoring the implementation of sports and recreation programs with the City as per KCCA guidelines

Planning, maintaining and monitoring the development of tourism sites in the city as per KCCA guidelines

Developing and monitoring the implementation of social service budget in line with the KCCA finance management guidelines

Managing the performance of staff under direct supervision in accordance with the Performance Management guidelines.

Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
