Kampala Capital City Authority Deputy Director Policy and Advisory Services Jobs in Uganda

Minimum Qualification

Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University or Institution plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre as well as a Master’s Degree in Law from a recognized University. Applicants should be Members of the relevant professional Associations.

Working Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years working experience, three (3) of which should have been gained at Assistant Commissioner or Head of Department level in Government or from a reputable organization.

Duties

The incumbent will be responsible to the Director Legal Services for performing the following duties:-

Conducting research on legal matters, interpret laws, advise and guide the Director Legal services in line with the KCCA Act.

Providing Secretarial services to the Management Executive and Disciplinary Committees, be a member of the Contracts Committee and coordinate follow up action on issues arising from the Committees in line with KCCA Act.

Responding to Council’s enquiries, queries, claims and complaints in line with the KCCA Act.

Compiling, analyzing and preparing reports on issues arising from council policy rulings for management information in line with the KCCA Act and management guidelines.

Developing and maintaining an updated departmental information management system in line with departmental guidelines.

Managing the performance and development of staff in line with the HRMM and management decision.

Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
