Kampala Capital City Authority Deputy Director Building Development Jobs in Uganda

Minimum Qualification

Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor's Degree in either Architecture; or Construction Management; or Civil Engineering plus a Master’s Degree in any of the above fields from a recognized University /Institution.

Applicants should be registered with the relevant professional body.

Working Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years working experience in construction related organizations three (3) of which should have been gained at Assistant Commissioner or Head of Department level in Government or from a reputable organization.

Duties

The incumbent will be responsible to the Director Engineering and Technical Services for performing the following duties:-

Developing and monitoring the implementation of the Authority building management roads, policies and procedures as per the Authority Mandate;

Reviewing and approving the architectural and structural designs for all Authority’s buildings in accordance with engineering best practices and National design standards;

Coordinating the construction and maintenance of the city building inline the Authority building plans;

Developing and implementing programs for

routine and periodic building maintenance works throughout the Authority;

Supervising the implementation of building construction and maintenance contract works in accordance with the terms and conditions of contracts;

Coordinating and controlling the development and implementation of departmental operational plans in accordance with the Authority strategic plans, policies and procedures;

Managing the performance and development of staff under direct supervision in accordance with the Performance Management guidelines.

Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
