Job SummaryWe are looking for skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our team and ensure that our equipment and facilities operate at peak efficiency, helping us maintain our commitment to sustainability.
Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance on recycling machinery, conveyors, shredders, balers, and other plant equipment according to the maintenance schedule.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with equipment; repair or replace defective parts as needed to minimize downtime.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all equipment is operating within safety guidelines and regulations. Report any unsafe conditions or practices to the Maintenance Supervisor immediately.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns or malfunctions, performing emergency repairs to restore operations as quickly as possible.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts replaced, and preventive maintenance performed.
Collaboration: Work closely with the operations team to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to production. Communicate effectively with other departments about maintenance needs and updates.
Inventory Management: Assist in managing the inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring that necessary supplies are available when needed.
Training & Development: Stay updated on the latest maintenance techniques and equipment advancements. Participate in ongoing training as required.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency, and suggest modifications or upgrades to enhance plant performance.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 2years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in
a recycling or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of safety practices and regulations related to industrial maintenance.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends, if necessary.
