Job DescriptionKAKI PLC is an official dealer and assembler of ISUZU in Ethiopia.
It is also engaged in different business lines including import, export, metal fabrication, after sales services, and cargo freight transport operations.
The company wishes to employ a qualified professional for the Director, After Sales Business Unit position:
General Duties and Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and controls the overall after sales services of the Company; he/she develops and monitoring manuals, policies and procedures concerning after sales service and ensures enforcement of the same;
He/she develops spare part and auto service strategies for so as to achieve the company’s strategies, growth and profit objectives.
He/she supervises the performance of the spare part preparation & sales, and auto service activities.
He/she constantly establishes a system to reveal customer complaints and resolves the same on time.
He/she ensures proper allocation and utilization of tangible and intangible resources of the company; submits regular and extraordinary performance reports.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Job Responsibility # 1: Managerial Duties
Plans, organizes, directs, co-ordinates and controls, after sales service of vehicles in dealer standard.
Develop and implement the sound strategy to improve the performance of after sales operation; forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams; and reviews based on trend analysis
Ensures the provision of financial, material and human resources required for running operation of the business unit.
Review and maintains relationships with all customers and suppliers.
Seeks out and targets new customers and new sales opportunities, initiates action plan to approach and secure new business for the company.
Coordinate with management and directs market channel development activities and coordinates part sales and auto service by establishing sales show room, and opening branch offices at capital city and different regions.
Ensure compliance to all government laws, and are properly adhered to.
Communicate with all existing and potential clients and ensure optimal level of marketing strategies and propose required promotions.
Develops and recommends brand positioning and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
Assesses market conditions in local, regional, national markets to determine potential sales of spare part and auto services.
Assure to maximize profitability of the business unit and control expense; and bring new business opportunities.
Job Responsibility # 2: Operational Duties
Ensures appropriate course of actions in case of work delays & interruptions; Monitors work flow and adjusts the work load in line with available man power and facilities.
Maintains awareness & compliance with customer service guidelines
to continuously improve standards of service.
Ensures a system to reveal customer complaints and resolve the same or refer to the appropriate personnel based on grievance handling procedure of the company.
Standardizing the sales and stock inventory as per ISUZU requirements; and ensure stock position of inventories every quarter, accordingly propose list of parts for the concerned business unit and immediate supervisor.
Ensures documentation of work flows, review work orders, as per the workshop procedures.
Ensures that health, safety and environmental requirements are adhered to in the after sales operation.
Assures the level of service delivery & proposes improved systems to modernize the workshop;
Ensures pre-delivery inspection as per the check list prepared by the company.
Assures warranty claims are handled as per the company policy and procedure.
Ensures the tools, equipment's and parts requirement plan based on the annual maintenance plan.
Ensures specifications for equipment's, tools and parts are implemented.
Responsibility # 3: Human Resource Management
Coaches, mentors subordinates and provide advice & technical assistance to after sales service crew.
Ensures that performance of employees is periodically appraised and communicated to the respective staff.
Set KPI (Key Performance Indicators); provide training and development to employees to enhance their technical and non technical skills.
Conducts regular meetings with concerned staff and managements to discuss ways and means of improving work systems;
Responsibility # 4: Reporting
Prepares and submits periodic performance reports and submits to the immediate supervisor.
Responsibility # 5: Others
Performs other duties assigned by the Managing Director.
Job Requirements
Qualification
M. Sc. Degree or B.Sc. Degree in Automotive Technology/ Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field of studies
Work Experience
12 years for M.Sc. Degree or 14 years for B.Sc. Degree relevant work experience; 6 years on top managerial position especially on service manager and spare part business unit.
Required Competence
Excellent expertise knowledge in after sales management including auto maintenance, spare part preparation & sales, dealer management system, customer relation managements, warranty services, bid preparation, garage standardization with excellent presentation, report writing, leadership and interpersonal skill.
