Duties and Responsibilities

An officer at this level will be expected to plan, supervise and coordinate provision of medical laboratory services at a sub district hospital laboratory or head a rural Health Training Centre Laboratory or a section in the Division Vectaborne Diseases; and The officer will also be expected to ensure availability of supplies and equipment.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have:-

Served for a minimum period of three (3) years in the grade of Medical Laboratory Technologist II, Job Group CPSB 10/’J’; and

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board;

Demonstrated outstanding ability in handling medical laboratory services.
