Kajiado County Assembly Hansard Reporter Jobs in Kenya

Job Purpose

Under the supervision of the Hansard Reporter this position is responsible for effective and efficient reporting Services mainly involving recording and transcribing into test for the proceedings of the Play as well as Committee sittings .

Duties and Responsibilities

• Undertaking timely and accurate transcription

• Operating the digital recording systems -audio tape and comes

• Ensuring general safety, cleanliness and usability of the machines.

• Record translate and transcribe proceedings of the County Assembly and the Committees

• Check transcriptions to correct errors by amending, deleting or adding information

Cross-checking of documents against references.

• Collating transcripts for editing Will Organize information for orderly storage and retrieval by sorting, classification and indexing.

• Search for fresh information/facts by consulting appropriate sources like documents of persons.

• Assist in implementing programmes relating to research, translation and compiling of indexes

• Undertake independent verbatim report of County Assembly plenary and committee proceedings

• Perform timely and accurate transcription

• Proofreading the nut transcripts.

• Handling queries relating to Hansard reporting

Requirements for Appointment

• Have Diploma in electronic media, audio visual technology, journalism broadcasting or communications or any other related Diploma from an institution recognized in Kenya or its equivalent Qualification

• Should have

two years working experience as a technical operator maintenance

• Show merit and ability in work performance and results
