The Kabete National Polytechnic is seeking suitable candidates to fill the following Positions:

  • Hospitality Technician

    This position is responsible for the provision of support routine duties in the workshop to ensure that the operations are running smoothly.

    Duties and Responsilities

  • Requisition workshop consumable to ensure they are replenished in a timely manner to ensure laboratory operations run smoothly.
  • Advice the section head on the budgeting requirement for the laboratory to ensure that all the laboratory requirement are factored in the budget to promote smooth trainings.
  • Maintain all requisite records on the use of various laboratory equipment and chemicals for accountability and future reference.
  • Perform demonstrations and provide technical support to the trainees during practical’s.
  • Ensuring that all health and safety procedures are understood and followed correctly in the laboratories.
  • Segregate non-functional equipment and machine to ensure safety in the laboratory.
  • Report any breakdown of equipment to the section head for purposes of decision making on replacements.
  • Supervise cleaning of the laboratory and equipment therein to ensure efficient operation of the laboratory
  • Keep up to date with relevant
    scientific and technical developments that will save on time and improve reliability.

    Skills and Experience Required
  • A Diploma in Food and Beverage
  • KCSE certificate with a minimum grade of C plain
  • At least three years’ experience a similar role
  • Proficiency in Laboratory Operations.
