The Kabete National Polytechnic is seeking suitable candidates to fill the following Positions:

Accountant II

This position is responsible for preparation of payment to creditors and to maintain records of debtors as well as to provide assistance to other departments in preparation of financial management reports.

Duties

Prepare payment vouchers to ensure payments are made in a timely manner for minimal disruptions to business operations.

Enter financial data of all the Polytechnic’s transactions and routine accounting works such as balancing of cashbooks, ledgers and imprest.

Ensure safe custody of the institution’s accounting records for reference purposes to enhance easy retrieval of the information when preparing statements.

Monitor payments to creditors i.e. suppliers and maintain its records.
Update the creditor’s accounts to provide timely, accurate and complete information for efficiency in the management of the institution’s creditors.

Prepare imprest to enhance business efficiency and effectiveness due to ready availability of resources required for the Polytechnic’s operations.

Requirements

CPA (K)

Served in a similar for at least 3 years

Minimum grade of C+ plain in KCSE

Relevant computer packages

ICPAK membership

Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude

Excellent communication skills
