Job DescriptionSummaryTo facilitate planning, development and implementation of Skills Development Strategy by complying with the relevant legislation and facilitating the development and implementation of the company’s Skills Plan; reporting against the skills plan to meet the relevant requirements thus enhancing employee productivity in the workplace.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesTraining Strategies Ensure that the strategies, plans, programmed and competency frameworks are identified in areas such as productivity improvement, technical, behavioral and occupational health & safety.
Conduct needs analysis exercises to determine the competency gap of employees.
Source and evaluate in-house and external training providers and advise on the best options according to the needs analysis.
Ensure that training programmed identified/ sourced/ selected or developed meet company requirements
Evaluate the quality of training provided in-house by means of Course Evaluation forms and feedback.
Involvement in Induction training program.
Develop and maintain a system to keep employees up to date on training and assessment developments.
Skills Development Strategies
Facilitate the development of the company’s Skills Development Strategies.
Submit the Workplace Skills Plan annually
Ensure that assessment documents comply with the latest requirements.
Performance Management
Conduct assessment of Individual and Departmental Skills
Audit the Skills
Recognize Prior Learning
Create a system to control this information
Conduct Succession Planning for Key positions by department
Identify Career and Learning pathways for the key positions.
Ensure that Performance Management, One-on-one and Career discussions are in place for all employees.
Monitor and give feedback on Target vs Actual One-on-one and Career discussion documents received by the deadline.
Administrative Duties
Submit weekly and monthly progress reports to management (actual vs budget for all departments)
Maintain information on each employee (Qualification profiles and Development Plans)
Maintain the training calendar and inform all employees due to proceed on training timorously.
Job Requirements
Skills and Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Human Resources, Management, Psychology;
Minimum of 5-year experience of which 2 is in a Skills Development related area;
Having certification in Training is desirable
Experience with Ethiopian Labor proclamation and an understanding of governing bodies.
Prior experience in costing of training
