Jumia Marketing Executive Vacancies in Uganda
Main ResponsibilitiesDeveloping creative Content; Content for media (TV,radio and print adverts), writing production briefs for producers, writing artwork briefs for designers,
Copywriting;ensuring copyright is cleared for all commissioned work, writing scripts for TV, radio and print exposures, wiriting content for social media, newsletters, push notifications
PR; Writing press releases, distributing press releases to media contacts and bloggers, assit in organising press conferences, developing pr campaigns with bloggers and publications, updating the monthly pr report
Events and activations; developing experiential marketing ideas, organising and executing all aspects of offline activations
Social media strategy: Develop monthly social media plans, help identify opportunites that will grow our social media following, manage relationship with social media influencers, implement tools that help with automation, tracking etc.
Assist in writing creative briefs and ensure that all projects are produced to the best possible quality, at the best possible cost, on time, on brand, and are in line with the marketing and campaign strategy.
Market and Competitor research; Develop quarterly consumer survey research report, organise and facilitate focus groups, Keep abreast of industry and competitive trends and regulary informing the team of noteworthy news items and opportunities
Skills and Qualifications
Marketing related degree or diploma
Advanced excel skills
Experince and intrest in marketing and social media strategy
Solid product/digital marketing experience
Excellent written skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
Experience in marketing positions from relevamt B2C and B2B industries ( e-commerce, retail , SAAS)
Extremely driven, confident and creative, organised
and can manage time well

Main Responsibilities
Setting the commercial strategy of the department (sales targets, target categories/segments to unlock, target key suppliers, target number of suppliers to onboard .. etc)
Managing a team in charge of vendor acquisition, vendor management, sourcing operations and content management
Scaling the team and processes to support the growth of the company
Recruiting adequate profiles to join the team
Meeting key vendors and suppliers to negotiate partnerships, contracts and service level agreements.
Ensuring regular and quality reporting of team actions and results
Profile Requirements
Strong experience (minimum >6 years) in a consumer good company, retail or equivalent
Strong local knowledge and deep understanding of business environment
Strong negotiation skills
Hands on & results oriented
Well organized
Capacity to challenge and improve processes
Ability to identify new business opportunities
