Jubilee Party Polling Clerks Jobs Kenya / Counting Clerks Jobs - Jubilee Party Kenya

The clerk works within the polling station and is directly supervised by the Presiding Officer who is the overall head of the polling station.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assisting the presiding officer with setting up the polling station for polling and counting.

Identify voters before allowing them to vote.

Issuing of ballot papers and explaining to voters how to use them.

Assisting the presiding officer on how to count the votes cast at the polling station.

Assisting the presiding officer in preparing reports.

Any other duty assigned by the presiding officer

Qualifications and Experience

Be a Kenyan citizen of high integrity

Be a holder of KCSE aggregate C- or Division III and above

Must be computer literate

Have effective communication and good report writing skills

Age 21 to 35 years

Responsibilities for the Presiding Officers

The presiding Officer is the overall head of the Polling Station and reports to the returning officer:

Ensure that all the elections materials are submitted

Train the clerks at the polling station

Set up the polling station for polling and counting

Ensure that polling station opens and closes on time

Assist voters to cast their ballots when necessary

Supervise electoral officials at the polling station

Counting of votes cast and announcing the polling station results

Transmitting results to the returning officer at the constituency

Qualifications for the Presiding Officer Jobs

Be a Kenyan citizen of high integrity

Be holders of Degree/Diploma certificates from recognized institutions

Must be computer literate

Have effective communication and good report writing skills

Age 25 to 45 years
