Job Description

Joy Tech P.L.C. is a leading horticulture based company, who is engaged in growing fresh herbs, vegetables, fruits, and flower produces, for local and export markets, primarily for export market.

At present, the company own and manage over 1,600 employees from its well organized farms located in Bishoftu and Legedadi areas.

The company is seeking for qualified, highly motivated, and result oriented professional for its vacant status available in Addis Ababa office.

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the General Accounts Section Head – the Junior Accountant prepare and post cash receipt vouchers, sales invoices and follow up bank advise collections on time.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for cash receipt vouchers preparation and postings.

Post sales invoices and reconcile sales transactions.

Follow up bank advice collections.

Responsible to update customers’ ledger and reconciliations.

Responsible for customers report preparation.

Assist in sorting and preparation of monthly tax declaration documents (VAT, Income Taxes, and Withholding Taxes) as per the requirement of the tax office.

Assist in posting and handling documents of SIV’s and GRN’s

Assist during check payment preparations.

Reconcile general ledger accounts when the need arises to do so.

Assist on freight and local purchase transaction postings.

Assist on cash on hand account clearing.

Assist colleagues during pressure, if there is no urgent tasks in your side.

Perform other related duties given by immediate boss as required.

Report to: General Accounts Section Head

Job Requirements

BA Degree in Accounting from recognized University/College and with 0 year work experience.

Diploma in Accounting from recognized University/College with 2 years related work experience.

Extensive skill of Peachtree Accounting software and excel spreadsheet software is mandatory.
