The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities within and beyond Uganda, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services.

• Lead Generation: Develop and implement strategies for lead generation, sales, and other business development goals within the manufacturing sector.

• Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with business partners, clients, and key industry players within Uganda's manufacturing sector. Attend industry events and conferences to meet potential clients and promote the company's products.

• Negotiation and Closing Deals: Negotiate contract terms with clients and partners, ensuring they align with company's objectives, and work towards timely and successful deal closures.

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to meet business development goals. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and
production, to align these strategies with overall company objectives.

• Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback to guide product development and service improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the manufacturing industry.

• Proven ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.

• Familiarity with the manufacturing sector in Uganda and the broader East African region.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and sales skills.

• Proficiency in English and other local languages would be an asset.
