John Snow Health Zambia Limited Director of Finance and Administration Jobs in Zambia

Background:

John Snow Health Zambia, Limited (JSH) seeks a dynamic and highly experienced candidate for the Director of Finance and Administration position for a prospective project in Zambia. The purpose of this activity is to improve health outcomes for Zambians by increasing the availability, accessibility, and use of high-quality health products and services in the private sector among priority audiences. :

Should JSH be the successful bidder, this will be a full-time position based in Lusaka. :

Position Description: :

The DFA will report to the JSH Chief of Party and will support the overall project financial management and administration of the cooperative agreement, and ensure compliance with USG, USAID, and PEPFAR financial regulations. The DFA will oversee and provide management support to project finances, grant management, human resources, procurement, and logistics. S/he will also provide management and operations support and oversight for the implementation of program activities. .

Roles and Responsibilities: :

• Ensure compliance with award terms, JSH, USG, USAID and PEPFAR policies and regulations

• Responsible for up-to-date policies and procedures for Operations, Personnel, Grants Management, and Safety & Security in line with JSH templates and requirements as well as donor and host country government requirements

• Oversee finance, grants, operations, human resources and procurement areas and staff

• Prepare and/or review monthly financial reports and tools (including budget tracking, obligation tracking, field financial accounts, accruals reports, donor reports) and ensure timely submission to the management or donor

• Collaborate with the COP and SMT to ensure coherence between programmatic activities and

financial provisions

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or other relevant field; or Bachelor’s degree or certified accounting degree

• Progressively responsible experience in financial compliance for international development programs in a mid/senior capacity

• Demonstrated experience in administrative and financial management of large-scale, complex, international development assistance programs;

• Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in accounting, financial planning and management, procurement, and logistics

• Demonstrated supervisory experience

• Experience with USG, USAID, and/or PEPFAR funding rules and regulations is a plus

Supervision and Reporting:

The DFA will work under the guidance and supervision of the COP.
