Job Description

The Director of Innovation and New Tracks of Jobs will directly report to the Commissioner and will have the following responsibilities:

Actively contribute to the development of a national Job Creation Strategy, with a focus on innovation and entrepreneurship

Provide the overall intellectual leadership, guidance, and coaching for the team

Develop and oversee the implementing the innovation team strategy, with the objective of making the team a centre of excellence for innovation and entrepreneurship policies in Ethiopia

Lead the work on identifying new tracks of jobs and innovative sectors and assessing their job creation opportunities

Oversee the assessment of the potential of innovative activities and the necessary legal and institutional framework for their development

Manage the innovation team and the different key ongoing pilot innovative and entrepreneurial projects

Job Requirements

]Education and Experience]

MA/BA in Agro-Economy, Business Administration, Business management, Policy Analysis, Social Work or related fields

A minimum of 10/8 years of work experience in related field

Job Grade: XII
