Responsibilities:Serve as a member of the Senior Management Team responsible for providing support to the Project Director on project decisions and provide input and feedback to inform strategic vision
Lead the development of strategies in the area of male circumcision for start-up of services, expansion plan, training, supervision, demand promotion, safety and reporting, management and prevention of complications;
Coordinate the mapping and planning of program expansion, considering different service delivery models, including static sites, mobile surgical units, outreach sites, the use of transport strategy for clients, and demand promotion activities;
Provide overall technical leadership and strategic coordination for the implementation of program activities
Mentor, support, supervise, and manage a team of clinical and program staff, and align their efforts to ensure rapid and sustainable results, which includes managing the staff roster and clinical operations
Requirements:
Advanced clinical degree in medicine with current Health Professions Councils of South Africa (HPCSA) registration
7-8 years total work experience, including 5+ years of mid- to senior-level experience including technical leadership, design and management health programs, including at least 2 years of experience specific to high volume VMMC services management
Demonstrated skills including verbal and written communication, strategic thinking, supply-chain management, and organizational team-building and capacity development
Knowledge of USG and PEPFAR programs, regulations, compliance, and reporting (preferred management experience with PEPFAR-funded programs)
Thorough understanding of VMMC programmatic and operational best practices, and preferably with Models for Optimizing Volume and Efficiency (MOVE)

Jhpiego is an international, non-profit health organization affiliated with The Johns Hopkins University.
Jhpiego has been working in South Africa through CDC other funding since 2010 supporting the National and Provincial Departments of Health in the provision of quality health and social services.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a member of the Senior Management Team responsible for providing support to the Project Director on management decisions and provide input and feedback to inform strategic vision
Lead the development of strategies for identifying and effeciently linking male circumcision clients with service sites and supporting effective linkages with other associated services.
Support planning and implementation of start-up of services, expansion planning, training of community mobilizers and counselors, and supervision of field teams.
Manage and oversee planning and implementation of effective procurement systems and supervise logistics staff
Ensure the project is incorporating best practices and innovation methods to generate demand for VMMC services, focused on priotized populations and under served age groups.
Support the development of innovative models for outreach and promotion of male-friendly services.
Coordinate the mapping and planning of services, considering different service delivery models, including static sites, mobile units, outreach sites, and client transport;
Requirements:

7-8 years total work experience, including

Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa Communication Manager

Training
The Communications Manager will oversee - and in some cases conduct - media, social media and advocacy training for OSISA staff to ensure that they are able to provide material for the website, work well with the media and exploit social media to advance open society ideals.
S/he will also work to enhance the media, social media and advocacy work of OSISA partners and grantees.
Managing Communications Budget
The Communications Manager will oversee and manage the unit's budget and use the funds to support creative and innovative projects that are clearly linked to the overall strategy of OSISA and to the specific goals and objectives of the Communications unit.
Work Environment and Staff Development
The Communications Manager will ensure the Communication office has an environment that promotes growth, well being, productivity, cohesive teamwork and effective communication.
S/he will be responsible for ensuring the integration of the unit within OSISA.
The Communications Manager will instill OSISA's values within his/her team and ensure staff are developed to their best potential.
Key Competencies
Proven competence in internal and external communications and media relations, experience as spokesperson in similar organization.
Demonstrated expertise in managing website and using social media, and overseeing development of official OSISA publications.
Ability to effectively promote OSISA’s brand and lead advocacy efforts as well as manage the communications budget.
Qualifications and Experience
A degree in Communications or equivalent qualification or a degree in a relevant subject with media and communications experience
5 years’ experience at this level
