Job Summary;The Manager Human Resource and Development will be a member of the management team and will be responsible for among others; job design, recruitment, managing employee relations, performance management, training & development as well as talent management.
Job roles & Responsibilities;
Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects suitable employees to fill vacant positions.
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall JCRC Strategic plan.
Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.
Nurture a positive working environment.
Oversee and manage staff performance appraisals.
Assess and manage staff training needs.
Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
Advise management on wages and salaries.
Develops and maintains a human resources system that meets top management information needs.
Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required of employees by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization.
Administer performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization. Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
Manage employee benefit schemes in compliance with employee labour laws.
Qualifications and Skills
Masters & Bachelors in humanities such as Human Resource Management, Business Administration among others from a recognized institution.
A post graduate diploma in Human Resources Management from
a reputable institution is a must.
Experience working as a Manager Human Resources & Development in a reputable organization.
Knowledge of ICT based HR systems and applications.
Experience working with donor funded organizations.
Excellent communication skills.
People oriented and results driven.
Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
Membership of a professional Human Resource body will be an added advantage.
