JASBEL Energy Project Officer – SME Relations Jobs in Ethiopia; A Project Officer specializing in SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) relations plays a critical role in fostering collaboration, communication, and support between the organization,SMEs and government bodies. This role is essential for ensuring that SMEs receive the necessary resources, guidance, and trainings to thrive. The Project Officer - SME Relations must be proactive, empathetic, and strategic to effectively support SMEs and achieve company goals.
Education & Experience• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, management, economics or a related field.
• Minimum of 10–12 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of government structure, communications, regulations and relations
• Experience with SMEs is an added advantage.
Key Roles and Responsibilities1. Liaison between company and SME’s• Act as the primary point of contact for SMEs, addressing their needs and concerns.
• Facilitate communication between SMEs and internal departments or external stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure smooth project completion.
2. Stakeholder Engagement• Build and maintain strong relationships with SME’s, community, and government bodies.
• Represent the company at events, trainings, and networking sessions.
3. Networking and Collaboration• Organize workshops, training, and networking events for SMEs
• Facilitate partnerships between SMEs and larger government bodies.
• Promote collaboration among SMEs to foster innovation and shared resources.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting•
Collect and analyze data on SME performance and challenges.
• Prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders on SME engagement activities.
• Use data to identify trends and recommend improvements to support programs.
5. Training and Capacity Building• Develop and deliver training programs for SMEs on topics such as digital transformation, HR management, and financial management.
• Coordinate with external trainers or consultants to provide specialized knowledge.
6. Other Duties• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
