Position Summary:

The public health specialist is expected to provide technical support to all projects related to health and nutrition, including design development of M&E system and provide capacity building activities to clients.
In addition, S/he will take part as a team member and/or as team leader on project evaluations, baseline surveys and diagnostic studies on health related projects.

Essential Job Functions:

Lead and support new and existing projects according to the following:

Provide technical guidance to clients and stakeholders on nutrition, public health and monitoring and evaluation.

Provide training to client staffs including providing

on the job training through regular field supportive suppression visit.

Prepare guidance materials including manuals and technical notes for improved monitoring and evaluation of exist and new projects, as they arise.

Support the preparation of project documentation, including progress reports, field notes, special reports, technical publications, and the final project report.

Support the implementation of project, process, and impact evaluations, baseline surveys and diagnostic studies through designing data collection tools and protocols, identifying data collection requirements, collecting performance indicator data and drafting analytical reports to the clients.

Assess and document data quality and known data limitations and define steps to address limitations;

Education:

Masters in one of the following or related fields: Public Health, Epidemiology or Nutrition
