Role Purpose
Corporate Officer responsible for operational control of Jambojet Flights. Responsible for ensuring the safe, legal and efficient flight Operations of Jambojet Aircrafts while meeting the commercial requirements of the Airline.
Key Account-abilities/Responsibilities
Provides strategic leadership and management and exercises operational control of the activities, operations, and personnel of the flight department to achieve the company's goals and objectives.
Maintain the highest level of quality, safety, service and standards for operating the Jambojet fleet.
Is the liaison with local regulators and stakeholders, as well as airlines, airport staff and other users regarding operations; attends public meetings regarding airport operations; coordinates, updates, and ensures compliance.
Ensure Operations are conducted in accordance with conditions and restrictions of the Air Operator Certificate (AOC), and in compliance with applicable regulations and standards of Jambojet.
Represent the company in aviation matters through trade associations, the regulatory bodies, airport management, community organizations and contracted suppliers and other stakeholders.
Ensure the validity and availability of all required Certificates and Operations Specifications, including certificate renewals, waivers, authority for deviations and all amendments therein.
Advise management on the status and requirements for aircraft and other equipment consistent with the company’s needs and goals
Ensure that high levels of customer service is provided by the flight operations department to its customers
Maintain updated copies of all required company, KCAA approved manuals, preparing and submitting revisions for approval as necessary, and ensuring compliance in Flight Operations.
Participate actively in Quality and Safety Management Systems for all Flight Operation
Prepare, monitor & control annual operating budgets that include operating
expenses, facilities, supplies, outside services, personnel, training, capital expenses and reserves, ensuring optimal resources management
Ensure training and development of crew and Operational staff to meet all licensing, regulatory and company requirements so as to deliver a high quality, safe and efficient service.
Ensure the highest possible standards of flight safety by developing,setting and monitoring standards for flight Operations in training flight service delivery, in flight security,reporting and communication.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Diploma or higher qualification in Management and/or Aviation or related field
Airline transport pilot license
At least three years’ experience as pilot-in-command in commercial air transport operations
At least three years’experience in management of commercial air transport operations
Added advantage if TRI/TRE (simulator instructor)
Some knowledge of low cost carriers a plus
Awareness of Commercial Airline industry dynamics and business environment desirable
