IT Support Technician Jobs in Kenya

Our Client, in the Service Sector seeks to recruit an IT Support Technician.

The IT Support Technician will be responsible for managing, repairing and maintaining hardware and software equipment.

He/She will be downloading, installing and upgrading the computer systems to improve performance of the IT team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Verify all the functionality of hardware and software by resolving incidents including operating systems, software applications among others.
  • Troubleshoot the hardware and software equipment both remotely and in person identifying and rectifying performance issues.
  • Provide IT support and ideas to the team members to accomplish tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Assist all company users with IT related issues such as system setup, log in, password protection and system updates.
  • Participate in IT projects giving support in the evaluation, monitoring and execution of these projects.
  • Update IT Service desk tickets resolving all the user issues.
  • Assist IT team download, install and update IT software and hardware infrastructure to keep systems up to date.
  • Maintain and operate audio visual infrastructure in presentation boardrooms and conference meetings.

    Required Qualifications / Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any IT related field
  • Minimum 3 years work experience with multiple software and hardware equipment
  • Knowledge in network troubleshooting and configuration
  • Experience in database environment preferably Microsoft SQL server
  • Knowledge of antivirus and antimalware managing malware incidents
  • Excellent customer service and communications skills
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking and ability to solve problems quickly.
