About the Job:

Our Client an IT organisation is seeking a professional Sales Executive to promote their innovative software solutions and to become a member of their dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to engage prospects in a consultative sales process deliver effective demonstrations and close sales opportunities in a hybrid inside / outside sales role.

This is a full-time position located in our Nairobi Office reporting to the Business Development Manager. You’ll earn an attractive base wage and commissions on sales.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding customers’ diverse, specific business needs and applying product knowledge to meet those needs.
  • Identifying and developing new business through networking and courtesy and follow-up calls.
  • Preparing and delivering customer presentations and demonstrations of the software, articulately and confidently.
  • Maintaining awareness and keeping abreast of constantly changing software and hardware systems.
  • Developing effective sales plans using sales methodology.
  • Providing technical advice to customers on all aspects of the installation and use of computer systems and networks, both before and after the sale.
  • Advising on software features and how they can be applied to assist in a variety of contexts
  • Meeting sales targets set by managers and contributing to team targets
  • Working closely with the marketing department.
  • Networking with existing customers in order to maintain links and
    promote additional products and upgrades.
  • Handling hardware or software problems and faults and referring on to specialist technical colleagues.
  • Responding to tender documents, writing proposals, reports and supporting literature.

    Qualifications:
  • 2 years sales experience in a professional environment
  • Previous work with technology, software (ERP, DOKMEE preferred)
  • Excellent business communications.
  • Excellent presentation skills using online meetings and live software demonstrations
  • High-activity sales experience. We do not have a long sales cycle, expensive or complex product.
  • You know how to move the ball downfield.
  • Selling fearlessness! You know it takes many attempts to reach that qualified buyer, and exceed at making this happen.
  • Must enjoy working in a highly-motivated, professional sales environment
