IsraAID Finance & Administration Officer Jobs in Kenya

Introduction

IsraAID is a non-profit, non-governmental and apolitical humanitarian aid agency dedicated to supporting populations in crisis around the world. Founded in 2001, the organization has responded to crises in 39 countries, reaching over 753,000 people in 2015 alone. Today, its operations span across 17 countries and a wide number of different sectors of expertise from both the humanitarian aid and international development arenas.

Responsibilities

Financial Administration: Timely preparation of payslips and delivering payrolls, as well as timely delivery of NHIF and income tax payments.

Office Administration: Filing of both financial and programme documents.

Procurement: Receiving quotes and handling procurement of supplies, equipment, etc.

Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time by the Country Director.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, administration or equivalent and at least a recognised level 2 accounting qualification e.g. CPA 2 etc.

Proven work experience in an INGO environment.

Experience of audit of NGOs would be advantageous.

Demonstrable experience in financial reporting for donor-funded programmes.

Experience in budgeting for NGOs.

Experience in shipment and procurement.

Excellent communication skills in English (both oral & written).

IT skills – Excel, MS Word, accounting packages.

Must be living in Nairobi.

Kenyan nationals only.
