The Product Owner will be responsible for ensuring delivery of the Hermes product suite and related products from a development perspective and will be expected to manage the entire product life cycle from strategic and tactical planning to operational activities that ensures the ultimate success of the product.

The candidate will be responsible for enhancing existing products to developing new products for the company.

Responsibilities

Single person responsible for maximizing the return on investment (ROI) of the agile team.

Custodian of the product Backlog, and responsible for prioritising and adjustment of this backlog.

Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team.

Consolidate bugs and enhancements to drive these through the product.

Manage day to day function on product by working closely with operational teams and clients.

Keep up to date with

regulatory changes, maintain relationship with the exchange.

Ensure software conformity with the exchange.

Engage with the Business owners in terms of product direction, product satisfaction etc.

Responsible for documentation, specifications.

Provide product updates and roadmap internally.

Understand alternative products and the competitive landscape.

Understanding, delivering and maximising on ROI.

Requirements

BCom IS/Informatics, BSc Computer Science or similar qualification.

Scrum Product Owner Certified.

5+ years’ experience in Financial Markets with an integral understanding of trading.

In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles.

Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.

Creative thinker with a vision.

Attention to detail / team player / Have good business insight

Able to be persistent, confident and assertive.

Ability to rapidly adapt to changing climate.
