Purpose of the Job

  • To provide Infrastructure support while ensuring maximum availability and uptime. .

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure the Bank's Infrastructure is operating within the agreed SLA targets.

    • Ensure that user requests/incidents are resolved within the specified period in the SLA and escalate issues accordingly. Install, support and maintenance of hardware including but not limited to Servers, UPSes/Invertors, ATMs, Personal Computers, printers and hardware peripherals in line with best practice.

    • Maintain the integrity of infrastructure deployment and security

    • Provide support on the Bank hardware failures

    • Ensure that user requests /faults /incidents are resolved within the specified period in the SLA and escalate issues accordingly.

    • Provide root cause analysis for the hardware failures.

    • Monitor server storage capacity and ensure these are within optimum limits.

    • Manage operating systems and software, ensures they are installed and configured according to best practice.

    • Administer all domain users and equipment.

    • Test changes and upgrades to the infrastructure and ensure test results are well documented and changes/upgrades authorized before they are applied to the
    production and disaster recovery environment.

    • Ensure the deployment of security patches and anti-virus software to all equipment.

    • Ensure all after-hours support is provided in line with Service Level Agreements to ensure customer satisfaction.

    • Manage ATM operations, this includes working with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure ATMs are in compliance and in proper working order and processing transactions during expected time frames.

    • Creates and maintains all records and documentation pertaining to the Bank's equipment

    • Ensures the Bank's ICT policies and procedures are enforced.

    • Participate in project implementations as necessary Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning/ recovery strategies

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Grade 12 School Certificate.

    • Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Technology/ Information Systems.

    • Minimum three (3) years with proved experience in ICT field.

    • Extensive knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Windows

    • Server Operating Systems

    • Knowledge of Hyper-V / VSphere and or VMW will be an added advantage

    • Knowledge of ATMs will be an added advantage.
