Tasks and responsibilitiesGeneral Programme Management
• Provide supervision and mentoring to the PM, identifying training needs to build specialized skills in protection, particularly in GBV and CP;
• Ensure that protection staff and services adhere to GBV and CP best practices, professional standards and principles;
• Provide support tools to monitor quality of program implementation and enable feedback from beneficiaries and other stakeholders;
• Promote harmonization of project approaches and methodologies across the different sites;
• Contribute to produce high quality donor reports and supporting documents as required;
• Participate in all proposals design that includes protection components.
External and Internal Coordination• Establish and maintain collaborative relations with relevant donors, local authorities, partners, project stakeholders and other organizations working in the project areas;
• Proactively engage with donors, international NGOs and other actors participating at sectorial coordination meetings and maintain productive working relationships with Protection, GBV and CP Working Groups at the national level;
• Ensure that key field concerns are brought to relevant stakeholders to advocate for standards that systematize how GBV and CP are implemented and promoting the delivery of inclusive and high quality GBV and CP services;
• Develop strategic partnerships with local organizations, wherever possible.
Required profile/experienceUniversity degree in international relations/development, social science, law, psychology, or another related field; MA/S or other related advanced degree are preferred;
Minimum of 5 years (of which at least 3 years in the field) of professional experience in humanitarian work, preferably in an emergency context;
Substantial experience in Protection, encompassing the sub-sectors of Child Protection, GBV, and/or MHPSS in conflict settings and with IDPs;
Readiness and ability to travel around South Sudan according the need of the project
Demonstrable technical expertise in the assessment of, design, and delivery of relevant Protection programming;
Good knowledge and understanding of Humanitarian Principles and Protection frameworks, tools, and minimum standards;
Demonstrated experience in coordination, staff supervision, remote management and use of monitoring tools and systems

Develop new projects proposals
Organize and report on assessments, monitoring and evaluation for health and nutrition intervention
Ensure coherence, structure, quality assurance, cost-effectiveness and capacity development for the sector program and the national teams
Setting project targets and supervise the project teams ensuring planning, implementation, and monitoring
Monitor the financial management of the projects, in compliance with INTERSOS’ model and donor regulations
Supervise the delivery of quality project activities reporting, including the findings in terms of impact/changes at the level of beneficiaries achieved through the project
Attend the sector meetings and represent INTERSOS at central level in sectorial meetings, ensuring linkage for sub-region and national level meetings
Required profile/experience
Advanced University degree in in medicine, public health, or related field;
At least 5 years of professional experience working as a technical coordinator in the area of primary health care, nutrition or a related field;
Minimum 2 years of experience in implementation of health and nutrition programming in complex emergency settings, involving displacement
Experience with donor compliance and
reporting, experience in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with donors and government counterparts
Demonstrated experience in coordination, staff supervision, remote management and use of monitoring tools and systems
Readiness and ability to travel around South Sudan according the need of the project Ability to adhere to deadlines and respect line management
Excellent computer skills (proven computer literacy, in particular Excel knowledge is a must)
Fully proficiency in written and spoken English

Concern Worldwide Nutrition Programme Manager and Roving Technical Coordinator Jobs in South Sudan
Your purpose:
This position will be responsible for the management of Concern’s nutrition programme in southern Unity which is currently implemented through a local partner, Nile Hope.
This role will therefore provide technical support to Nile Hope in southern Unity and work to strengthen its systems and support in Juba, including its external representation.
Key activities will include training and on-the-job coaching of staff, improving reporting and analysis, ensuring sites are appropriately equipped and staffed, supporting procurement and HR matters, and ensuring timely sharing of information with other partners and actors.
In addition, the job-holder will lead the nutrition component of rapid response missions (either Concern or multi-sectoral) across the country, with a focus on Unity, and will provide technical support and surge capacity to all programme sites.
This may entail developing strategy papers, streamlining approaches across sites, sharing lessons learnt and experiences between sites to strengthen a response, and providing surge support to different programme locations.
The position will also represent Concern in national-level nutrition coordination meetings and fora, Cluster meetings, workshop and technical working groups including the Strategic Advisory Group (SAG), and the Nutrition Information Working Group (NIWG)
Programme Management and Partner Support
Ensure quality implementation of Nile Hope’s nutrition programme in Leer, along with any new areas in southern Unity, according to international standards, national guidelines, Concern policies and best practices.
Provide oversight and support to Concern’s local partner Nile Hope to ensure that prepositioning of stock, the development of procurement plans, expenditure tracking and donor reporting is done accurately and in a timely manner.
Monitor Concern’s Leer programme expenditure and budgets, and work with Nile Hope to ensure that their grant is optimally utilized and spending is in line with Concern/Nile Hope’s financial procedures and donor requirements.
Support cross-sectoral periodic programme reviews in order to assess programme progress, capture lessons learnt and adapt programme strategies as necessary in accordance with Concern’s results-based management principles. Ensure mainstreaming of cross cutting issues/approaches throughout the programme cycle including:
Gender, Protection, HIV and Aids, Rights Based Approach, Accountability and do no harm philosophy.
Others
Adhere fully to the commitments and rules of Concern’s Programme Participant Protection Policy and Code of Conduct (P4 and CoC), including the respect of confidentiality.
Report to the appropriate manager all violations of the P4 or CoC
Other duties as assigned by the Area Coordinator or Emergency Programme Director.
Education & Qualifications Required:
Nutrition degree or nutrition post graduate qualification or public health/nursing qualification (with significant nutrition experience)
At least 3 years’ experience in a (post-)conflict and/or developing country managing a nutrition programme, using the CMAM approach.
At least 3 years’ experience of implementing CMAM
Experience of designing, implementing and analysing nutrition surveys.
Experience in analysing and interpreting data and writing reports to a high technical standard.
Experience in the supervision, training and mentoring of nutrition and health staff
Involvement in Nutrition policy development
Experience in working with and building the capacity of local organisations
