International Transformation Foundation Accountant Jobs in Kenya







International Transformation Foundation (ITF) is an internationally youth led non-profit organization providing youth educational and self-development programs, encompassing leadership and entrepreneurship, to harness creativity for a youth system that provides jobs, offering security, opportunities to grow, and contribute to the development of our communities.

Since its establishment ITF has been developing and operating youth development programs to lead the youth of today as leaders with a strong heart and mind as true workers of society with creative and progressive thinking. Our current projects are:

1.Jijenge Kijana Fund


  • Jijenge Kijana Fund is a youth livelihood pathway offering micro-credit and micro-saving training enabling ITF members to engage in productive and stable livelihoods to generate increased income to lift them out of poverty.

    2. A water Kiosk at School


  • This is a school-based and students-managed business designed to sell clean tap water to community residents at an affordable price; a sustainable business model that pre-finances a community school in order to set up an on-site water kiosk with specially designed and sustainable products.

    3. Public Water Fountain

  • The public water fountain project aims to install sustainable tap water stations near playgrounds, city centers, parks, schools and bus stations in Africa which ensure accessible clean drinking tap water. The project also works to bring awareness on the environmental impact of production and waste of single-use plastic water bottle

    Erasmus + Partnership

  • ITF operates capacity-building projects that gather global partnerships with the aim of tackling youth unemployment by bridging the educational sector and labor market enabling young people to undergo work-based learning. These projects are co-financed by the Erasmus plus programme of the European Union.

    The position:

  • As an accountant ,you will ensure ITF's compliance with financial accounting regulations while improving existing practices.

    Responsibilities include:

    Budgeting:

    Developing the appropriate budget for the organization and ensuring that the budget is followed accurately.

    Financial Data Collection:

    You are responsible for ITF’s compliance with accounting regulations. You are required to uphold accounting standards.
    At the same time, you are expected to improve existing practices by:

    Overseeing the incorporation of new accounting software to streamline financial data collection.
    Ensure there is a secure backup of all financial data.


    Staff Information:

  • You are also responsible for maintaining high accounting practices throughout the ITF volunteer/staff base. This means:

  • Ensure all staff members understand both the intended value of accounting systems and how to use them. This will require you to work with all staff members, especially the operations Director to ensure that orientation materials reflect the current system.
    Set clear office protocol regarding accounting systems.

    Qualifications:

  • At least be a second-year bachelor student in related fields.

  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Should be self-driven and proactive.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on results.

  • High level of self-confidence, flexibility, integrity, and honesty.

  • Must have excellent computer/internet skills and a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Excellent organization skills.

  • Ability to work well independently, works with all levels of management, prioritize tasks, and can resolve problems.

  • Ability to maintain an established work schedule, with or without flexibility,

  • Strong organizational and management skills- ability to multi-task.

  • Motivated to learn and take on new challenges.

  • Willingness and capacity to volunteer.

  • Unparalleled passion and commitment to youth development.

  • The candidate must be in the age bracket of 18 – 30.

  • For volunteers, a minimum of six months’ commitment is required.
