International Research and Exchanges Board Development Coordinator, New Business Development Unit Jobs in Kenya
IREX is a global development and education organization. We strive for a more just, prosperous, and inclusive world—where individuals reach their full potential, governments serve their people, and communities thrive. With a projected annual portfolio of more than $100 million and more than 600 staff worldwide, we work with partners in more than 100 countries in four areas essential to progress: cultivating leaders, empowering youth, strengthening institutions, and increasing access to quality education and information.
IREX seeks a Development Coordinator to assist the New Business Development Unit in identifying, designing, and securing new programmatic and funding opportunities. The development team works across IREX’s Practices (Education; Communities and Governance; Information and Media; Youth; and Leadership) to produce proposals for US, Bilateral, Multilateral, and other donors.
This position will interact with the entire New Business Development Unit and other IREX staff (such as staff from Global Programs, broader SDG, Finance/GCO, and Field Operations) to support the proposal development process. They will be assigned to various individual proposals led by a proposal manager, who will provide supervision and oversight of tasks for that proposal.
IREX’s NBDU typically works on a combination of 10-15 live and pre-solicitation proposals at a time. The Development Coordinator will provide coordination support to up to four proposals at a time and will provide ongoing administrative support for the team.
