Job Purpose/ObjectiveThe WPE/GBV case Worker will offer GBV screening services, holistic case management to survivors while ensuring improved quality of health and psychosocial support, support in development of a functional referral networks that enhance survivors’ ability to receive confidential, safe, and timely services that meets their needs.
Responsibilities
Provide direct support and care for adult survivors of GBV and age-appropriate specialized support and care for adolescents, male and child survivors of GBV, including counseling and case management.
Ensure proper documentation of reported GBV incidences through utilization of GBVIMS case intake, action, follow up and other case management forms appropriately.
Ensure safety of survivors is guaranteed by adhering to GBV guiding principles and use of survivor centered approach.
Support in developing and strengthening referral networks and monitor the implementation of the referral pathway to improve survivors’ access to confidentiality, safe GBV services in a timely manner to meet their needs.
Deliver information on available services to SGBV survivors to ensure informed decision making process and appropriate referrals are done
In consultations with women and girls, develop and support to implement a series of age-appropriate and group emotional and social support activities for women and girls, with an emphasis on meeting the needs of survivors of GBV and strengthening support networks among women and girls.
In consultations with GBV officer, develop and implement/ share monthly response plan and GBV key issues based on case trends to disseminate information on services available and referral pathways.
Make routine follow up to cases of SGBV survivors at home and various partner organizations referred to ascertain their wellbeing and services received.
Prepare and submit weekly & monthly reports as required and incorporate supervisors’ feedback in a timely manner, including information related to survivor non- identifying data, treatment provided, follow up visits, drugs availability, referrals to other service providers and awareness activities conducted etc.
Participate in the development of procurement and spending plans and work plans to ensure the successful implementation of programs
Qualifications
Diploma in Social Work / Social Sciences / Counseling / psychology / health or other related field preferred. Degree in similar fields would be an added advantage.
At least 3 years’ experience in the direct provision of counseling and psychosocial support to survivors of Gender Based Violence, including child survivors
Clear understanding, including demonstrated positive attitudes on gender inequality, and issues surrounding violence against women and girls STRONGLY preferred.
Excellent listening and observation skills, including ability to create trust, support, respect and interact with survivors of all ages, background and diversity
Ability to lead, train, supervise, and motivate other GBV staff and local partners in their respective tasks in a professional, respectful and supportive manner.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, non-discrimination and respect for clients.
Has a positive and professional attitude ability to work with minimal supervision and in a hardship area.
Flexibility in work including working outside of normal working hours when necessary.
Knowledge of English and Kiswahili is a must (knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage)
Experience working with refugee population
Clear understanding on use of GBVIMS will be an added advantage.

Job Purpose/Objective
In liaison with the Senior Field Coordinator and the Senior Human Resource Coordinator, the Human Resource Manager will offer support services in Human Resource Management and Administration to IRC staff members as regards HR administration, auxiliary payroll processing, benefits administration, recruitment and employee relations in the Kenya, Kakuma Program.
Responsibilities
Human Resource Management
Participate in the periodic review of the HR policies and procedures recommending changes to the management
Maintain a thorough knowledge of IRC HR policies and ensure employee adherence to HR policies.
Ensure IRC is compliant with all employment laws to minimization of legal exposure as part of the general IRC risk Management.
Ensure staff files are complete, secure and confidential.
Coordinate and ensure compliance to the performance management system timely completion of the annual performance evaluation process and maintain a record of all objectives set by all supervisors
Attend to staff issues in regards to benefits, grievances, disputes and disciplinary cases in conformity with HR policies.
Ensure fair and consistent enforcement of rules and regulations governing the incentive staff in Kakuma.
Ensure every staff has and have signed a job description detailing their duties.
Talent Acquisition:
Coordinate the recruitment processes ensuring compliance to hiring policies and procedures, and that best practice is followed and documented.
Vacancy posting in internal and external media as appropriate.
Maintain tracking system of Kakuma vacancies and the entire the recruitment process and compile monthly report on recruitment.
Participate in recruitment interviews, provide interview outcome summary.
Responsible for staff orientation and on boarding of all new staff
Lead the recruitment of Intern and overall implementation of the Internship policy at the Field Office
Lead the workforce planning process and Support succession planning discussions and implementation of agreed activities at the Field Office
Capacity Building
Provide support and strengthening the capacity of the HR team through delegation and mentoring.
Staff management and development through setting objectives, providing continuous feedback, coaching, reviews and evaluations.
Develop innovative activities that can strengthen the working relationship/team building
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Management or related degree.
Diploma in Human Resource management with a strong working experience in the HR field is an added advantage
At least 3 years experience in personnel administration, preferably with a development or humanitarian international organization.
Good knowledge and application of the Kenyan Labour Law
Strong interpersonal skills, high degree of flexibility and a team player
Excellent writing and organizational skills
Budget and program management experience is an added advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly, coupled with ability to influence, advice, and train on human resource issues, and act as an agent of change.
Demonstrated people skills.
