General functions
Under the overall supervision of the Head Resources Management Officer, SLO Addis Ababa and the direct supervision of Procurement and Logistics Officer, the incumbent will be responsible and accountable for the Warehouse Management activities for IOM Mission in Ethiopia.

Under the overall supervision of the Head Resources Management Officer, SLO Addis Ababa and the direct supervision of Procurement and Logistics Officer, the incumbent will be responsible and accountable for the Warehouse Management activities for IOM Mission in Ethiopia.
Core Functions / Responsibilities
Responsible for the effective planning and management of IOM warehouse operations in Addis Ababa and field offices and ensure safe and efficient warehousing and storage of all ES/NFIs and supplies in accordance with the Organization policy and procedures.
Coordinate receipts/dispatches of ES/NFIs, to ensure accuracy of warehouse transaction records including identification of discrepancies, to ensure immediate and accurate reporting of goods movements in line with the organization requirements.
Responsible for inventory management (e.g. physical stock verification, reporting, etc.), to ensure any existing and developing issues with regards to proper stocks management are timely addressed and that IOM standard procedures for goods handling and storage are strictly followed.
Responsible to conduct and coordinate mid-year and end year physical verification exercise for all the existing warehouses as per IOM Warehouse Manual and timely reporting to GPSU.
Prepare regular and ad hoc reports and statistics on warehouse operations to support informed planning and decision-making.
Oversee safeguarding of ES/NFIs and supplies through providing guidance on and taking initiative towards implementation of preventive measures, to ensure that goods are properly stored and that quality control actions are timely taken as appropriate following IOM established procedures.
Responsible to generate Bi-weekly reports of the stock movement and balance for all the warehouses and a consolidated monthly report of dead stocks to be submitted to the Management and Project managers.
Standardize security and safety checks at all IOM warehouses.
Update and track inventory files and shipping documents and ensure proper filing routines.
Liaise with Procurement and Logistics Officer to implement new initiatives, align with IOM good practices and ensure continuous improvement.
In coordination with the Procurement & Logistics Officer, to assess the strengths and the weaknesses of the warehouse operations and propose corrective actions to the management.
Identify training needs and efficiently plan trainings to ensure staff have required knowledge and skills to carry out their responsibilities.
Supervise warehouse staff and to ensure high performance standards.
Any other duties as may be assigned.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
Master’s degree in supply chain management, Warehouse Management or related with 5 years of relevant work experience; or
University degree in Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management or related with 7 years of relevant work experience
Experience
Minimum of five to seven years of professional work experience in
Warehouse management is required with consideration to the above mentioned in the Education Section;
Experience working in International Organizations is an advantage;
Having a professional course (s) in Warehouse Management is added value
Excellent drafting capabilities, communication, and negotiation skills;
Good analytical skills, ability to interpret information, identify and analyze problems;
Good level of computer literacy, with proficiency in MS Windows / MS Office applications.
Languages
Fluency in English and Amharic (oral and written).
knowledge of other Ethiopian local languages is an advantage
