Job Description

Employee Position Summary

Responsible for custody of cash. Assists Accountant and Finance Manager in performing day to day duties at the field office.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for custody of cash in the office and cash disbursements. Makes sure that backup documentation for cash disbursements is duly approved and on file prior making cash payments

Ensures that adequate cash on hand is available for daily operation of the office.

Assist Finance Manager in preparation of year end audit schedules for IMC Ethiopia.

Prepare and send Daily Cash Reports to Split office that includes both cash and bank balances.

Assist with audits of various sites and functions as needed. This can include field visits to various sites, and training of staff per audit schedule/plan

Assist Finance Officer with finance information related to asset and inventory list
Travel to the field sites when/if necessary
Photocopying, scanning , printing and filing
Other relevant tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor/College degree in the field of Finance/Accounting or related field and 2 years’ for degree/4 years’ experience for Diploma.

Active knowledge of English language writing and speaking

Knowledge of accounting software, MS Excel and MS Word as well as good grasp on Internet and email communication.

Knowledge of Somali language will be an advantageous.
