Job DescriptionUnder the direct support of the ICT Manager, the Project Coordinator will work closely with project team members, and NEBE managers and leads to help deliver major organizational projects efficiently.
The Project Coordinator will monitor ICT-related project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures; organize and participates in leadership meetings; and ensure that project deadlines are met in a timely manner.
The Project Coordinator also manages the administrative tasks, such as document and information distribution, report collation and communication support. The Project Coordinator does not require strong technical skills, but a basis understanding of ICT would be beneficial.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
Organizing, attending, and participating in leadership meetings.
Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
Ensuring project deadlines are met across all team members.
Determining project changes.
Providing administrative support as needed.
Undertaking project tasks as required.
Developing project strategies in line with NEBE overall ICT workplan.
Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
Assessing project risks and issues and providing collaborative solutions
where applicable.
Ensuring stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
Being point of contact for various project initiatives.
Ensuring resources and equipment are always available, within inventory management system.
Understanding formal escalation and review processes.
Creating and reviewing of reports.
Job Requirements
Skills & Specifications
Ability to contribute to NEBE’s overall ICT strategy.
Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
Strong experience with stakeholder coordination, preferred in ICT space.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
Ability to work on tight deadlines and experience coordinating various team members to contribute to deadlines.
Highly preferred: Experience with agile methodology with Scrum
Strong interpersonal skills to navigate between technical and non-technical individuals on complex issues.
Education and Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in business, management, political science, IT management or similar
Three years’ experience in project coordination or management
language
Fluency in English and Amharic required; strong command in more than one NEBE working language preferred.
